Social Emotional Mental Health
All our workshops include work based around social emotional mental health. We provide students with valuable tools and stratergies to enhance their well being. We focus on fostering healthy positive relationships, building emotional intelligence and promtoing mental resiliance.
We aim to create a safe and supportive enviroment where students can freely discuss their emotions. Peer on peer support enhances students ability toself regulate, build coping mechanisms, and strengthen positive social connections.
EMPOWERING YOUNG BLACK VOICES
At C.A.L.M we also offer "Empowering Young Black Voices", a transformative ten - week intervention designed to uplift young black boys through creative expression and positive behaviour reinforcement.
This initiative includes the development of a Podcast series that tackles important themes such as education, representation, and social justice. By investing in empowering young black voices, we can address the critical issues of exclusion that is faced by too many young black boys.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
An example of what this workshop entails is looking at what a leader is, from football legends such as Ronaldo, to parent/ carer at home. What qualities do they share.
Through engaging activities, discussions, team-building exercises, and real-life case studies, and weekly leadership tasks, this programme will focus on equipping the students with the necessary skills and mindset to become effective leaders in their communities, school, and personal lives.

LEADERSHIP
The primary objective of this programme is to address the self-esteem issues faced by the children, stemming from the unique socio-cultural and racial challenges they may encounter. Through interactive activities, discussions, reflective exercises, and personal growth strategies, our goal is to help the children develop a strong foundation of self-worth and confidence.

SELF-ESTEEM
This programme will focus on helping the students develop essential skills, resilience, and strategies to overcome obstacles they may face at school, in their own communities and wider society. We will empower them to believe in themselves, instil a sense of self-worth, and inspire them to overcome adversity. Achievable challenges each week will push the students to accomplish tasks they never thought they could.

OVERCOMING OBSTACLES
As one of our most popular programs with schools, the primary objective of this programme is to provide an in-depth view of what a class "clown" is. We examine why they do what they do, where it leads to, how they affect people around them, and where this behaviour can lead. We teach students how to get the attention young people crave, without being a class "clown". The supportive and educational space where students who engage in class "clown" behaviour can gain insight into the impact of their actions on themselves and their peers.

CLASS "CLOWNS"
Our aim with this programme is to provide the students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and support to navigate and resist the pressures associated with county lines and gang involvement. With real life scenarios and roleplaying, we take the students through a virtual journey they will never want to relive in real life.

COUNTY LINES:
Our aim with this programme is to guide the students towards understanding the importance of positive communication, respect for authority, and building healthy relationships with their teachers. By equipping them with the skills to communicate their feelings without causing conflict is a skill many young people do not possess. We aim to help the students navigate their academic environment, deal with authority sensibly, and successfully avoid exclusionary consequences of being unable to manage difficult situations and conversations.

MANAGING CONFLICT
The main objective of this programme is to provide a nurturing environment where the students can explore and address the emotional impact of rejection and absence of fathers in their lives. By offering a supportive community, our programme aims to create
a space where children can express their thoughts and feelings, develop coping mechanisms, and build resilience.

REJECTION and ABANDONMENT
ONE-ON-ONE MENTORING
A mentoring programme provides children with guidance, support and encouragement to help them navigate through this challenging phase of their lives.
Overall, one-to-one mentoring can be a powerful tool for modifying school behaviour and academic performance.
By building a positive relationship, identifying strengths and weaknesses, setting goals, a mentor can help children to achieve their full potential.
Workshop Methodologies
All of our workshops incorporate drama therapy, utilizing various drama techniques to enhance the students’ skills in presentation, public speaking, and performance.
We also integrate team building exercises, leaderships simulations, public speaking
practice, and group discussions to foster collaboration, assertiveness, self-confidence, and effective communication.
Additionally, experiential learning is a vital part of our methodology as it allows
participants to actively engage in hands-on activities, simulations, and real life
scenarios that promote deeper understanding, skill development and application of knowledge in a practical context.
DURATION OF WORKSHOPS
The interactive workshops will run for one hour weekly throughout the academic
year, with six to eight students participating. We will collaborate with schools and local authorities to deliver the workshops within the school environment or any other agreed venue.
Adhering to a school’s safeguarding policy is a top priority for us. The safety and well-
being of students is paramount. We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for students to participate in our workshops. All staff have up to date and valid enhanced Criminal Records Bureau certificates.
Each of our projects run for 12 weeks. (One term) Sessions are weekly and last one hour.
Groups will always follow the same format to keep consistency and continuity with the students.
10 minutes intro
40 minutes main body
10 minutes wrapping up
Intro will consist of looking at reports, homework, and catching up on the how the
week has been, and any achievements to be celebrated.
Main Body will be scheduled workshop delivered by a C.A.L.M. provider.
Wrapping up will consist of prep for following session, home learning, and providing new reports and targets for the students.
Home learning and individual targets are given to students on a weekly basis. All
students will then feedback to the group in each session. We know that students are
proud of their achievements and hard work. Feeding back will help build self-esteem and confidence to engage in lessons more effectively.

The students will be assessed through a combination of formal and informal methods, such as:

Pre-and post-workshop surveys or questionnaires to measure changes in knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours.
School observations of the students during the workshop activities to assess their engagement, participation, and progress.
Feedback from parents or carers on any changes they have noticed in their child’s behaviour or attitude since participating in the workshop.

Our programmes are budget-friendly, and we have a flexible pricing plan. Projects that are of a longer duration will be a reduced price.
C.A.L.M. will offer a discounted one term pilot project so schools can see the intervention in action and measure impact.
